Week of July 27 – August 2, 2026

The seven posts going out this week — what each one says, why it's built that way, and what it's meant to do. This is the review, not the internal brief: it's what we'd walk through together before anything ships.

This week in one minute

Last week was an up week. Saves and shares doubled, the engagement rate climbed back over 1%, and we recorded the first share in the account's history. Small numbers still — but every one moved the right way, and it happened on the manager-cracking / recognition / delegation themes we keep betting on.

The theme this week: the exact sentence a manager is missing in a hard moment — recognition, the friend-to-boss reset, feedback, and the "not yet" raise talk. The one change under the hood: both lead-asks ("Comment WORK") move onto reels. Last week our only lead-ask sat on a carousel that reached about 12 people — you can't get a comment from a post nobody sees.

What we're testing: one autonomous Trial Reel ships every weekday to non-followers (separate from these 7), testing whether a stat-first opener beats a loss-first opener on the same recognition pain. What's graduating to paid: our paid "Stay positive" ad just got its first 2 sales — that's the account's first clean creative winner, and it clears the runway for the "lose a great hire" reel to move into paid next. One small time-saver for you: Instagram no longer rewards trending audio, so the Tuesday post that used to need you to tap a sound in the app now publishes on its own. That manual step is gone.

Say this instead, in week one: "Our friendship doesn't change. What changes is I now own the team's results — so some talks are going to feel more formal. That's on me, not you." Name it out loud and it stops being awkward. Know someone who just got promoted over their friends? Send them this.

Why this post: the manager-cracking theme was this week's #1 reach (144 views). It's the Warren move — confirm the suspicion, don't blame them — pointed at the manager themselves. Likes-per-reach and sends are both ranking signals now, so this is a distribution play, not just a feel-good.

The plan

Remake the week's best performer. Two candidates, confirmed against the Jul 20–26 data at build time (no autopilot): the manager-cracking validation reel, or the Dave Kline borrow — "the skills that made you a great doer are the ones that cap you as a leader" (same belief-flip engine as our delegation winner). If it's an authority-stat hook, it carries the second Comment WORK lead-ask.

Why this post: mid-year cycles just closed and budget freezes are live (59.6% of firms cite budget constraints) — this is a right-now moment. A carousel keeps it in the save lane where carousels actually perform.

One decision: approve these 7 posts for July 27 – August 2 — plus the one structural change: dropping the Tuesday trending-audio phone step so Tuesday auto-publishes (Instagram no longer rewards trending audio, so there's nothing to lose and one manual step to save).
